Kith & Messi for adidas Football Footwear

Kith と adidas Football は、Ronnie Fieg と Lionel Messi が共同でデザインを手がけたエクスクルーシブなフットウェアコレクションを発表。Messi の世界デビュー20周年、そして Kith の15周年を記念した本コレクションでは、Messi のキャリアにおける象徴的な瞬間やスタイルを落とし込み、パフォーマンスとライフスタイルの両面から表現した全6型のフットウェアを展開します。

パフォーマンスモデルには、「COPA Mundial 17 UltraBOOST」「F50 Megaride」「F50 Walkable Cleat」の3型がラインナップ。「COPA Mundial 17 UltraBOOST」は、2017年に Kith と adidas Football が初めて発表したモデルをベースに、COPA Mundial 17 のアッパーと UltraBOOST のソールユニットを融合した一足です。レザーアッパーにはスネークスキン調のエンボス加工を施し、鮮やかなブルーのコントラストステッチや、クローム仕様のヒールクリップを採用しています。「F50 Megaride」は、アイコニックな F50 アッパーと Bounce ソールを組み合わせたモデル。ブラックからブルーへと移り変わるグラデーションアッパーに加え、付属する交換可能なインソールによって表情が変化する半透明のミッドソールや、ヒールサイドには左右非対称の Kith と Messi のアイコノグラフィーを配置しました。「F50 Walkable Cleat」は、2006年FIFAワールドカップで Messi が初めて着用した adidas スパイクから着想を得たモデルです。シンセティックレザーアッパーにはホワイトからブルーへ移り変わるグラフィックを落とし込み、シューレースを覆うベルクロ仕様のタンカバーを採用。クリアなケーシング越しにスパイクディテールが見えるデザインに仕上げられています。

ライフスタイルモデルでは、「Handball Spezial」2カラーと、特別仕様の「Superstar」を展開。「Handball Spezial」はライトピンクとホワイトの2色で登場し、テキスタイルアッパーにプレミアムスエードのオーバーレイ、ガムソールを組み合わせています。ホワイトカラーには、外側と内側で異なるブルー＆イエローのスリーストライプスを採用しています。「Superstar」は、デコンストラクトディテールとなっており、ラグジュアリーなレザーアッパーを使用しながら、内部パッドを取り除くことで軽量化を実現した特別仕様となっています。

Kith & Messi for adidas Footballコレクションは、5月29日（金）午前11時より、Kith Tokyo、Kith Osaka、JP.Kith.com、Kith App にて発売いたします。
なお、「Footwear」全6型および「Kith & Messi for adidas Football Jersey」全4型は、JP.Kith.com とKith App限定での発売となります。

Kith and adidas Football present an exclusive footwear collection designed by Ronnie Fieg and Lionel Messi to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic footballer’s debut on the world stage, as well as Kith’s 15th anniversary. This collection includes a range of footwear, comprised of six silhouettes that pay homage to Messi’s historic career through both performance and lifestyle lenses.

The performance styles include the COPA Mundial 17 UltraBOOST, F50 Megaride and F50 Walkable Cleat. The COPA Mundial 17 UltraBOOST was first created and introduced by Kith and adidas Football in 2017 by hybridizing COPA Mundial 17 upper with UltraBOOST tooling. This style features a snakeskin-embossed texture on the leather upper, vibrant blue contrast stitching, and chrome heel clips. The F50 Megaride joins the iconic F50 upper with Bounce tooling. The upper features a black-blue gradient and is paired with a translucent midsole that changes appearance with the accompanying replaceable insoles. Asymmetrical Kith and Messi iconography can be seen on the lateral sides of the heels. The F50 Walkable Cleat is inspired by the first adidas cleat worn by Messi during the 2006 World Cup. The synthetic leather upper features white-blue gradient artwork and is equipped with a Velcro tongue cover that hides the lacing system. The cleats are visible through the translucent casing.

The lifestyle models include two colorways of the Handball Spezial and a special deconstructed iteration of the Superstar. The Handball Spezial is offered in light pink and white colorways, both of which feature textile uppers with premium suede overlays, as well as gum sole units. The white colorway features asymmetrical blue and yellow Three Stripes on the lateral and medial sides. The Deconstructed Superstar utilizes a luxe leather upper with removed padding to create a lightweight version of the iconic silhouette.

The drawings for Kith & Messi for adidas Football Footwear will open globally on the Kith App Wednesday, May 27th. Select quantities will be available on Friday, May 29th at 11AM in store, online, and on the Kith App in New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo timezones.
