Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III Remastered “Salmon Toe”

Kithの創立15周年を記念し、Ronnie Fiegが長年にわたりパートナーシップを築いてきたASICSと再びタッグを組み、Kithの原点ともいえる一足「Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III “Salmon Toe”」を復刻します。

2011年9月30日、ニューヨーク・ブルックリンにKith初のストアがオープン。その門出を飾ったのが、初代「Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III “Salmon Toe”」でした。ブランド初のコラボレーションフットウェアとして登場したこのカラーウェイは、Kithの名を世に広めるきっかけとなり、Fiegを代表するデザインのひとつとして広く知られるようになりました。その存在はKithの歩みと深く結びつき、ブランドの原点を象徴する一足として受け継がれています。

その後もFiegとASICSは、Kithの節目に合わせて「Salmon Toe」を再解釈してきました。創立5周年にはネイビーのミッドソールを採用したアレンジモデルを、10周年にはGEL-LYTE™ Vをベースとしたモデルを発表。そして15周年を迎える今回は、2011年のオリジナルモデルのカラーブロッキングが初めて復刻され、Fiegが監修したGEL-LYTE™ III Remasteredのシルエットに落とし込まれています。Kithのアイデンティティを形づくる礎となったデザインへ立ち返りながら、その原点を次なるチャプターへとつなぐ一足に仕上げています。

今回のアニバーサリーモデルでは、素材使いを新たにアップデート。アッパーには上質なピッグスキンヌバックを採用し、ヴァンプとクォーターパネルにはパンチング加工を施しています。スプリットタンとヒールタブには、ASICSとFIEGのブランディングを左右非対称に配置。さらにインソールには、ASICSとKith 15周年を象徴するグラフィックをプリントしています。

シューズボックスも本モデルのための特別仕様で、全面にウッドグレインのグラフィックと両ブランドのロゴをデザイン。Kith初のストアと「Salmon Toe」の原点へのオマージュを込めたディテールで仕上げています。

As part of Kith’s fifteenth anniversary celebration, Ronnie Fieg reunites with longtime partner ASICS to revisit the sneaker that started it all for Kith—the Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III “Salmon Toe.”

On September 30, 2011, Kith opened the doors to its first store in Brooklyn, New York, with the launch of the original Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III “Salmon Toe.” As the brand’s first collaborative footwear release, the colorway marked Kith’s introduction to the world and became one of Fieg’s most recognized designs. Its legacy is inseparable from the story of Kith, serving as an enduring symbol of the brand’s beginnings.

In the years since, Fieg and ASICS have revisited the “Salmon Toe” to mark defining milestones, introducing a reimagined navy-midsole version for Kith’s fifth anniversary and a GEL-LYTE™ V rendition for its tenth. For the fifteenth anniversary, the original 2011 colorblocking returns for the first time, now on the Fieg-helmed GEL-LYTE™ III Remastered silhouette—a return to the design that helped establish Kith’s identity, reinterpreted for its next chapter.

This commemorative edition introduces a new premium material execution, with a pigskin nubuck upper and perforations across the vamp and quarter panels. Additional details include asymmetrical ASICS and FIEG branding on the split tongues and heel tabs, along with ASICS and Kith 15th Anniversary artwork printed on the footbeds. The pair arrives in a custom shoebox featuring all-over wood grain artwork and co-branding, a final nod to Kith’s first store and the origins of the “Salmon Toe.”

The Ronnie Fieg for ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III Remastered "Salmon Toe" releases globally on Monday, September 28 at all Kith stores and at 11 AM EST/GMT/CET/JST on Kith.com and the Kith App. The drawings will open September 25th at 1 PM in the Kith App until Sunday, September 27th at 11:59 PM. Early access will be available to Voyage Loyalty Members.
