Kith: The Footwear Archive

Kithの創立15周年を記念して刊行される『Kith: The Footwear Archive』は、ブランドの原点であるフットウェアを通して、Kithが歩んできた15年間の軌跡を記録した一冊です。全444ページにわたる本書は、作品総目録として構成され、過去15年間にRonnie Fiegのアーカイブに収蔵されてきた1,800足以上のコラボレーションフットウェアを収録。これまで発売されてきたモデルやFriends & Family限定モデルとともに、Fiegが所有する膨大な未発売モデルや開発段階のプロトタイプが、本書を通して初めて一般公開されます。これらのフットウェアを一堂に収めることで、Fiegがこれまで築いてきたキャリアの軌跡を辿ります。Adidas、Asics、Clarks Originals、Moncler、New Balance、Nike、On、Timberlandをはじめとする数々のパートナーとのプロジェクトを網羅し、Assoulineの「Classics Collection」において過去最大のボリュームとなる一冊です。撮影は、長年にわたりKithと協業してきたフォトグラファーTyler Mansourが全編を担当。15年間にわたるアーカイブを、一貫した視点で捉えています。

本書は大きく2部で構成されています。前半では、これまでに発売された700足を洗練されたビジュアルとともに紹介。後半ではさらにアーカイブを掘り下げ、ブランドごとに時系列で整理しながら、最初のコンセプトから最終的なプロダクトが完成するまでの全過程を辿ります。この2つのセクションを通して、あらゆるカテゴリーやパートナーシップ、時代を超えて一貫する、Fieg独自のクリエイティブな視点を浮かび上がらせます。

Kithのアーカイブをかつてない規模で公開する『Kith: The Footwear Archive』は、Kithが歩んできた最初の15年間を包括的に記録するとともに、ブランドのデザイン哲学や、より広い業界に与えてきた影響を紐解くための貴重な資料でもあります。Fiegは、「20周年の本、30周年の本についても考えています。今、自分が取り組んでいるすべてのことが、その物語の一部になっていくのです」と語ります。

Classic Editionは、Kithの創立からちょうど15年を迎える9月30日（水）に、世界各地のKithストア、Kith.com、Kith Appにて限定発売します。

Published to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of Kith, Kith: The Footwear Archive documents the brand’s evolution through the category that first defined it. Conceived as a catalogue raisonné, the 444-page volume assembles over 1,800 collaborative footwear models preserved in Ronnie Fieg’s archive from the past fifteen years. This extensive document marks the first time Fieg’s staggering collection of unreleased and developmental prototypes will be unveiled to the public, standing alongside the released and friends-and-family pairs that have charted his career. Spanning projects with partners including Adidas, Asics, Clarks Originals, Moncler, New Balance, Nike, On, Timberland, and more, it is the largest volume in Assouline’s Classics Collection to date. Documented in its entirety by longtime Kith collaborator, photographer Tyler Mansour, all fifteen years are presented through a consistent visual lens.

The book is divided into two halves: the first presents 700 released pairs through elevated photography, while the second goes deeper, indexing the archive chronologically by brand and tracing the complete journey from initial concept to final product. Together, the two sections reveal the continuity of Fieg’s singular point of view across every category, partnership, and era.

“Throughout my career, I’ve pressured myself to approach each product as a notch in my timeline—to believe the decisions I made on any given day would reverberate years later and create cohesion across my catalog,” says Fieg.

With unprecedented access to the brand’s archive, Kith: The Footwear Archive is both a comprehensive record of Kith’s first fifteen years and an indispensable sourcebook for understanding the brand’s design ethos and impact on the broader industry. Says Fieg, “I think about the twenty-year book, the thirty-year book. Everything I work on now is part of that story.”

The Classic edition launches on September 30th, fifteen years to the day Kith was founded, exclusively at all Kith stores worldwide, Kith.com, and the Kith App.

To commemorate this milestone, Kith is hosting a special exhibit in Brooklyn, New York from September 25th through the 27th, where all footwear models from Kith: The Footwear Archive will be on public display for the first time ever.
